What does not migrate
- ADO Wiki pages — Jira does not have a native wiki equivalent in the same project; these require Confluence.
- Build/pipeline history — CI/CD pipelines are platform-specific and cannot be migrated.
- OAuth tokens or credentials — Migrayt never migrates authentication data.
- Boards and custom dashboards — Board configuration is recreated manually.
Key principles
Idempotent — Every migration can be re-run safely. Items that already exist in Jira (identified by a provenance label) are automatically skipped. You will never get duplicates.
Zero downtime — Migrayt reads from ADO and writes to Jira. Your ADO project is never locked, paused, or modified. Your team can keep using ADO while the migration runs.
Resumable — Migrations can be paused mid-run and resumed from the exact item where they stopped. There is no need to start over after an interruption.
Transparent — Every decision the AI makes during mapping is shown to you for review before any data moves. You approve all mappings before the migration starts.
